Recently, a Starbucks manager remarked that she “truly believes that 30 seconds can change a person’s day.”
I thought this was a remarkable comment and applaud her (and perhaps Starbucks) for recognizing the importance of day to day interactions among us. Almost always pressed for time and patience, the Starbucks experience is pleasant as barista’s are cheerful and polite while serving 100s of customers per day.
A few kind words, a smile, speaking to customers by name are just a few examples that PROVE 30 seconds can make a difference.
