Scott Penny attended Indiana University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Public Affairs. He then went on to the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he graduated in 2013.
Penny started his career working in insurance defense, but quickly realized he had a passion for real estate. He worked extensively with public utilities where he routinely negotiates easements and fee purchases on behalf of companies to ensure completion of utility projects. He has an extensive background in a myriad of real estate and construction-related issues, focusing primarily on construction, real estate, and business litigation related matters, within our office.
Penny prefers to take a pragmatic and problem-solving approach to the practice of law but is not afraid to be a fierce advocate for clients when it is needed.
A highly regarded attorney in both real estate and business law, Scott has negotiated easements and fee purchases for two of the largest pipeline projects to be installed in the last few years in central Indiana. Other areas he specializes in, is real estate litigation, landlord and tenant representation, easement issues and utilities, contact creation as well as business law, including litigation in construction and business transactions.
During his spare time, Scott enjoys spending time with wife Katie and is an active member of Northview Church in Carmel.
